The web plugin does not work with many internet browsers anymore, ever since certain protocols have become unsupported. The only way I can get the plugin working is to use Microsoft Internet Explorer (11.124), which is probably not that useful for considering you are a MAC user! If you installed after downloading from our website, you should be prompted to install the plug-ins for detected software you already have installed. If you choose to install as a plug-in at a later time, you can easily do so. Make sure Luminar is open. You may need to right-click on the application and choose to Run as administrator. All IP cameras require a plugin to display their video stream in a web browser, and normally this poses no issue. The browser and camera will prompt you automatically to download and install the plugin when you try and view a live feed or, if you already have done so, will ask your permission to run the plugin.
Safari on the other hand does not automatically do this when running on a Mac, and so requires you to download and install the plugin manually. For many of our customers who aren't aware of this, it appears to them that their camera simply doesn't work. Thankfully, it's a very quick and straightforward issue to remedy.
There are a couple of places you can download the plugin from:

• Hikvision's Overseas Website - On this site, you're after the file named 'Plug-in V3.0.5.26 build20150126 for Mac OS' (or a newer version). You may need to create an account to access the download, and so the below might be a preferable alternative.
• Hikvision's European Download Portal - This site provides a direct download to the same plugin as above. Of course, do ensure you're downloading the 'for macosx' file.

Once you've downloaded the plugin, close your browser and install it. You will be prompted upon reopening your browser to give the plugin permission to run, which you should allow, and afterwards your camera should provide a live view!

Hover over the 'Support' tab until the drop down bar appears. Then click ‘Download’.
On this page, click the link that says ‘HikVision Tools (V#.#.#.#)’.
This will bring you to the Download page. Then click 'Download'.

Extract the file to a suitable location.

Now follow the Set-up Wizard.
Click 'Install' and 'Finish'.
Now the HikVision Tools should open automatically. If not, locate the application and open it.
On this page select the ‘SADP’ icon.

From here you can search for all available HikVision devices that are on the network. Any that are available should appear automatically; if not, click the 'Refresh' button and they should appear.
Once you’ve found your device, double-click it to open the IP address in your web browser.
EDIT: You may need to change the IP address of the camera to access it. To do this select the camera in SADP then on the left under modify parameters , change the IP address to one that suits you. Type your default password in and click save.
Now log in to the camera.
Default login is:
Username: admin
Password: 12345
You should now be able to view your camera.
Note: You may need to run plugins to view.
