Office for Mac that comes with a Microsoft 365 subscription is updated on a regular basis to provide new features, security updates, and non-security updates. The following information is primarily intended for IT professionals who are deploying Office for Mac to the users in their organizations.
NEW - This release will be the last version of Quicken for Mac that will run on macOS El Capitan (10.11) and macOS Sierra (10.12). The newer versions of macOS offer better performance, stability, security, and offer features that are required for the continued development of Quicken for Mac.

- In Office 2016, Microsoft is bringing a common look and feel to the suite across all platforms, which is why this Mac version looks much like the recently released Windows-based Office 2016 IT Pro.
- Microsoft Office 2016 (codenamed Office 16) is a version of the Microsoft Office productivity suite, succeeding both Office 2013 and Office for Mac 2011 and preceding Office 2019 for both platforms. It was released on macOS on July 9, 2015, and on Microsoft Windows on.

Microsoft has released version 16.21 of Office for Mac with added support in Word for macOS 10.14 Mojave’s Continuity Camera feature, enabling you to insert a photo from your iOS device into your document (see “How to Take Photos and Scan Documents with Continuity Camera in Mojave,” 27 September 2018). Excel gains a built-in reply box for cell-based comments, and PowerPoint now lets you print presentations with slide numbers.
